The right Church for you
Is Berea the right Church for you?
We understand that churches are different, just like people! They do things differently, believe differently, and have a variety of ways they worship and grow. So...we understand: we might not be the best fit for YOU! However, we might just be the perfect fit! The best way to answer that question is to give us a try. Join us one Sunday morning and get a glimpse into who we are and how we do things. In the meantime, let me answer the three most common questions I am asked regarding Berea.
1. What kind of church is Berea? We are an independent, non-denominational New Testament Church. We operate under the oversight of a group of Elders who are nominated and elected by our local congregation. These are men who have attended Berea for a significant period of time and have demonstrated a heart for Christ and servant leadership. We study the Bible as our sole source of authority and strive to do things as the New Testament church did them whenever we possibly can.
2. How do you worship? When I am asked that question, it typically means "Are you a traditional or contemporary church?" When we worship we do so as a church family. Everyone from 7 years old and up come together in the Worship Center for a time of praise and worship. (The children are dismissed before the teaching time so they can be taught in a way that will be more effective to their age.) Our mission is to give everyone the opportunity to worship, whether they are 7 or 70! We want to create an environment that allows everyone to worship in spirit and in truth. Where you can raise your hands...or NOT raise your hands...and you won't be looked down upon either way.
3. What do I have to wear? Simply put, you need to wear clothes! We will have people here in dresses and suits, and some in jeans and a T-shirt. No matter how you dress, you will not be alone in your clothing choice at Berea.
Not sure? Why not join us this Sunday and find out? Give us a try and see for yourself: At Berea, Family Grows Together. I look forward to meeting you soon,
